En vittig bog om at trænge til et knus - og det allermest af sin mor. Sneglen Blop tror fejlagtigt at manglen på ømhed skyldes hans slimede og nøgne udseende, men i virkeligheden er krammeriet begrænset  af morens mangel på arme, et træk der jo - ligesom det slimede ydre - er kendetegnende for snegle.
